Arsenic and Old Lace
December 18 Schedules: 3:00PM, 7:30PM
The Xavier Stage (TXS) is back with their latest play on the Misteryo series. Following the very successful, thought-provoking and thrilling “10 Little Indians” comes a dark comedy play set to tickle you all throughout the play.
Arsenic and Old Lace is adopted from the 1939 play (and 1944 film) of the same name for the Xavier Stage by XU’s very own Roger Garcia. It is directed by Hobart Savior, and will run December 15 to December 18, 2014. It is TXS’s anniversary special, and everybody is invited to watch, free admission.
It is a wonderfully funny play, true to its original material. It experiments on the dark urban legends of insane murderous families. Add perfect comedic timings, and the language, culture and history of Cagayan de Oro and you’ve got a play you’ll never forget.
As always, The Xavier Stage has proven themselves time and again with their professional-level production and versatility. From stage and lights design which aid so much in storytelling , to the seasoned actors who carry their roles so realistically and so convincingly that the entire experience becomes more immersive and unforgettable.
Arsenic and Old Lace is guaranteed to make your day and give you a wonderful holiday prelude. Grab your seats now and have a laughter-filled Thursday. We highly recommend it, and we assure, you’ll enjoy every bit of it 🙂
