For the seventh straight year, Cine Europa is back in Cagayan de Oro to showcase the best of European Cinema! This coming November 13-16, The Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines, EU Cultural Studies and Liceo de Cagayan University bring you 21 quality films from 17 European countries in a four-day film festival. In this year’s edition, the Family takes centre stage as the films tackle the many dimensions of European families and how they remain as the cornerstone in every society.
The opening film for the Cagayan de Oro leg is from Germany entitled “Scherbenpark.” EU Political and Press Information Head Mr. Lubomir Frebort will open the film screenings in the city together with Liceo University President Dr. Mariano M. Lerin and Hon. Mayor Oscar Moreno.
Aside from Manila and Cagayan de Oro, Cine Europa has also traveled to other key cities this year. Residents in Baguio, Iloilo, Cebu, Leyte, Tacloban, Davao and Zamboanga have also enjoyed this year’s movies.
