Laguindingan Airport’s lighting system is already installed and the first test run was conducted last September 25. The question now is, when will the operation of night flights start? In an article published by Mike Banos, Regional Development Council-X (RDC-X) Co-Chair and NEDA-X Regional Director Leon M. Dacanay revealed that he is hopeful that Laguindingan Airport will start accommodating night flights and early morning flights in December this year or in January 2015.
Meanwhile, Laguindingan Airport is also being eyed for international flights with Busan, South Korea and Singapore as possible routes. It is just that the terminal building needs further expansion to materialize these plans.
