Starting in August, food establishments in Cagayan de Oro are already required to include half cup rice in their menu. Violators will be subject to fines and worst, cancellation of business permit. The Philippines has been experiencing an enormous amount of rice wastage. The implementation of the half rice law might address that problem.
This is favorable to those who are trying to lose weight. But, this might be perceived as a burden for some especially to business owners. What do you think of this new law, Kagay-anons?
