Cagayan de Oro has one of the fastest changing skyline in the Philippines. Buildings have been sprouting almost anywhere in the city. But there are few exceptional buildings that captivate the entire city because they are uniquely designed, beautifully made, or simply stunning. When you pass by these buildings, you can’t help but turn your head.

Here’s the top five beautiful buildings in the City of Golden Friendship selected by the members of Skycrapercity Team Cagayan de Oro.

The towering gold and the tallest in the city, Limketkai Luxe Hotel is now the defining pinnacle of the new and modern Cagayan de Oro. This four star hotel features 213 guest rooms fitted with state-of-the-art amenities.

2. Primavera Residences

The first green residential building in Mindanao. Primavera Residences has been built as an eco-friendly building with principles of sustainability. It has the most unique design in the city. Recently, it earned the 5-star award for Best Mixed-Use Development in the Philippines during the Asia Pacific Property Awards held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

3. Mindanao University of Science and Technology Science Complex

Wrapped with a glassy facade, Mindanao University of Science and Technology Science Complex is the first fruit of this school’s modernization program.

4. Capitol University Medical City

Capitol University Medical City is one of the first hospitals in the city that took the ambitious move of transforming itself into a modern medical facility. Just like the new buildings at MUST, CUMC’s facade is glassy and has aluminum cladding.

5. Pryce Plaza Hotel

Pryce Plaza Hotel has been one of the most notable landmarks in the City of Golden Friendship for decades. Formerly known as the Alta Tierra Hotel, Pryce Plaza looks like a mansion that sits on top of Carmen Hill and can be seen even as far as Tagoloan and Macajalar Bay.

More buildings with iconic designs are coming to Cagayan de Oro. Undoubtedly, this list will change in the years to come.
