Velez Street Intersections Now Painted with Lanes

As the impending expansion of the “Hapsay Dalan” campaign nears, more parts of the city roads are gradually being painted. As seen here, the intersection of Cruz Taal and Velez, as well as Gomez and Velez are now painted with outlines for pedestrian lanes and yellow boxes for loading and unloading. Initially, the team aims to cover the entire Velez Street from CM Recto down to M. Fernandez, as this street is the busiest street in the city for pedestrian traffic.

UPDATE: We get the confusion and question if the pedestrian lanes are not complete, or if it’s already the final paint/design. We have found out that this ped xing design is actually the standard version, and the one we’re used to (stripes) is the continental version. We believe the standard design is much more economical, and it will still function the same as the design we’re used to.
