Prima de Mayo and X Photographer Philippines Workshop a Success

Primavera Residences and Truly Wealthy Realty Corporation hosted workshops on photography, flower arrangement, and interior designing last Saturday, May 24. Dubbed as “Prima de Mayo,” the event was well attended by participants coming from different walks of life. There were students and professionals.

Flower Arrangement and Interior Design

The flower arrangement and interior designing workshops were conducted by Ms. Anna Christina Sagarbarria, a professionally licensed interior designer. She is a product of Philippine School of Interior Design. I had the chance to attend the interior designing workshops that gave me so many insights.

I learned the importance of choosing the right paint and paint job. For condominiums where spaces are more limited than the typical house and lot, there are techniques on how to make it look bigger. A 28 square meters condo unit, for example, can appear more spacious with the use of optical illusions.

The condo unit owner can make use of lighter colors to make the space look wider. He can also choose furnitures with the same color of the background and glass furnitures. Higher and wider curtains should be installed on small windows.

After the talk, the participants were given the chance to bring pictures of the interior of their house to the speaker. Ms. Sagarrbaria then gave her advice to them.

For the flower arrangement seminar, the workshop proper was held at the inner courtyard. I interviewed one participant and she said that she learned the fundamentals of flower arrangement and that includes the color theory. According to her, the speaker emphasized the importance of choosing the right flower vase, the basic colors of flowers, and how to use them for color combinations.

After the talks, they then proceeded to the rooftop of Primavera Residences Tower A to take pictures of the sunset.
