Vista Residences, the vertical arm of Vista Land, started the construction of The Loop, its flagship residential condominium project in Cagayan de Oro with a groundbreaking ceremony of its North Tower held yesterday at the project site. It is rightfully located in a thriving business complex Limketkai Center.

Leading the ceremony are Ria Ledesma, the manager of Limketkai Mall;  Limketkai’s Finance Manager Henry Jumawid; MGS Construction President Joy J. Fernandez; Camella Northern Mindanao General Manager Emelia N. Lustado; The Loop’s Architect Arturo C. Secuya; Camella Communities President Jerylle Luz C. Quismundo; and Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar S. Moreno.

In an interview with Tsada Gyud, Architect Secuya said that the The Loop’s design is simple yet pleasant, efficient, and no frills when it comes to efficiency of space. They made sure that each unit has straightforward spaces that are usable and functional. Everything in the room is within reach which saves so much time and effort. “Actually, we have constructed this already. After we prepared all the plans, we built it virtually. We built the building on the computer like we build it there, from the foundation to the reinforcement. We call that Building Information Modelling (BIM). That’s the new thing when you construct a high-rise. You have to have that. That is what Singapore and Hong Kong are doing and we’re bringing that to The Loop.” This breakthrough allows architects to correct possible problems before the actual construction of the building.

While they were constructing The Loop virtually, they were surprised that the spaces consequentially cost savings to the buyer because the height is just correct for ventilation, the windows are just sized the way they should bring light to the unit during the day, and the ventilation is just there which spares residents from purchasing bigger aircondition.  They have also studied the movement of the sun to prevent heat.

Ms. Emelia N. Lustado said The Loop’s North Tower actual construction will commence three to four months after yesterday’s groundbreaking. The turn over of units will be on the fourth quarter of 2017. Today, North Tower is already 65 to 75% sold.

The Loop is a joint venture of Vista Residences and Limketkai Sons. It is the first high-rise residential project of Vista Residences outside Metro Manila. Their showroom is located near Grand Caprice Restaurant, Limketkai Center.
