In my most recent travel to Manila with the country’s flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL), I was happy to see one page in their inflight magazine that highlighted my hometown Cagayan de Oro. That page featured PAL’s exciting domestic destinations with emphasis on top nine tourist attractions namely The Maskarra Festival of Bacolod City, Bohol’s pride powdery beachline of Panglao Island, crystal clear resorts in Palawan, the perfect cone Mayon Volcano, the festive streets of Manila, the silky white sands of Boracay, the gorgeous beaches of Cebu, and… white water rafting in Cagayan de Oro.
This cemented the fact that Cagayan de Oro is one the most attractive tourist destinations in the Philippines today. The city is most famous for its exhilarating white water rafting adventure. Other adventures include caving, zip lining, rappelling, and a lot more. So, visit the Adventure Capital of the Philippines now…. try it while it’s hot.
