It’s that time of the year again, when devotees from all over Visayas and Mindanao flock to our city to attend the annual procession of the Black Nazarene. As a guide to those who would attend the procession and as a precaution to motorists, we have prepared this share-able map that you can save to your phone or print.
As a precaution, motorists should avoid these streets as these will surely be closed to traffic. Coming from the east, you can take the Eastbound diversion road through Galaxy and towards JR Borja Extension. From the west, you can detour through multiple access roads like the Puntod Bridge (through Kauswagan), Ysalina Bridge in Carmen, and Pelaez/Golden Mile Bridge at Paseo del Rio. For southbound/uptown bound commuters, you can take the express route at the South Diversion Road towards Taguanao Bridge from the east, and PN Roa Road towards Bulua or Iponan from the west.
We hope local Kagay-anons and devotees from other parts of the Philippines will find meaning in this solemn religious event, and may everyone be at peace with one another as we celebrate Christ on this day.
