LKK Mall regains growth in foot traffic

After it had experienced a decrease in foot traffic due to the opening of Centrio Mall, Cagayan de Oro’s homegrown Limketkai Mall is back on its feet. This is strongly manifested by the increase of shoppers and visitors seen in the past few weeks.

One might say that this surge of shoppers may be attributed to the Holiday Season when people buy gifts and spend their bonuses. But, one can not deny that Limketkai has also taken huge steps and innovative ways to entice shoppers. First, the biggest crowd drawer is the opening of two supermarkets Shopwise and Robinsons. Premium quality specialty retailers like Krispy Kreme, Shakeys, and Timberland have also made Limketkai more appealing.  Second, it has strengthened its customers service by making the entire mall aesthetically welcoming.  It has renovated its interiors landscape and current tenants like Robinsons Department Store has moved to a new location with a refreshing modern look. A state of the art car park service with adequate security is also provided at Shopwise. And lastly, Limketkai Mall with its atrium still holds the advantage of hosting big events like the XUHS Alumni Homecoming and Teachers Day Celebration.

In a competitive city like Cagayan de Oro wherein more and more business players are coming, malls have to adopt strategies and stay in touch with their customers in different ways. Limketkai has never ceased to evolve that is why it has remained strong. It is not just a mall but a one stop business center with hotels, fitness center, convention center, stand alone dining establishments with drive thru, name it they have it. As a local player, it reflects Kagay-anons attributes… resilient, competitive, classy, and always driven to win.
