Lourdes College Library has stepped up to a higher level and has transformed to Lourdes College Learning Commons, the first in the Visayas and Mindanao. According to the North Caroline State University, learning commons is an inspiring study place for students that encourages them to be more productive and successful as it has comfortable space where they can discover, create, and collaborate with their peers.
It has features that are not found in typical libraries such as comfortable group work areas and study rooms, computer workstations, instructional media services, and moveable whiteboards to name a few. Learning commons is found in universities especially in the United States. De La Salle University is the first to have this kind of learning environment in the Philippines followed by our very own Lourdes College.
