What motivated you to join Miss Cagayan de Oro 2013?
I really want to be able to influence, assist and be part of the change we want to see in Cagayan de Oro. By joining Ms. Cagayan de oro 2013 would be my way of doing so.
Who do you look up to as your role model and why?
Ever since I was little, I’ve always looked up to my mommy. I could say that she is simply amazing and the best. She’s so admirable in all that she does. If I could have all the time to say everything about how great she is, it will definitely take me forever because I have so much to say.
What endearing qualities you have which is unique about you?
I am naturally warm and easily gets along with people around. I’m a very passionate person and at the same time, compassionate. Other qualities that are unique about me, I’m firm, strong and serious but can also be sweet, charming and nice. I’m proud but in a good way. I put dignity in whatever I do. And lastly, I’m resourceful, both in all aspects.
What makes Cagayan de Oro the most beautiful city for you?
It’s the people. The people of Cagayan de Oro – their resilience and determination to thrive even in times of trials. And to do this as a people. But more importantly their warm smiles and good hearts. We’re not called the city of golden friendship for nothing.
If crowned Miss Cagayan de Oro 2013, how will you make your reign memorable?
If crowned Ms.Cdo, I will actively help disseminate information to educate Kagay-anons in any field our fellow Kagay-anons lacked in. Like for instance, work with DOH for AIDS awareness programs, work with red cross for blood letting, or TESDA for livelihood programs. By simply making a difference in the lives of the kids and the elderly.
What are the top 3 problems of cagayan de oro that needs to be addressed right away by the new City Mayor Oca Moreno?
Traffic and regulation of public transportation, peace and order, governmental services for calamity-prone areas and for the less fortunate. There’s actually a 4th but it’s not really a problem. Bringing back the grandeur DV-soria enjoyed before. The Mayor already started this when he took his oath of service at the kiosko.
What do you dream to become someday?
I dream to succeed in my chosen field so I can give back more. Also I’d really like to help others who are in need. Like for the kids who lack school supplies, for the less fortunate ones who couldn’t eat 3 times in a day and for the elderly who just wanders around without a decent place to live/stay in. Fulfilling that someday, even by doing it in my own little way, I am contented and happy.
