Cagayan de Oro is this year’s host of the Philippine College of Chest Physicians Midyear Convention. Registration will take place later today, from 12 noon to 4pm. At 6pm, there will be an Inter-hospital Debate at Mallberry Suites. They will resolve the motion “Among patients presenting with both Acute Exacerbation of Bronchial Asthma and Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI), should β-blockers be given (or withheld) as part of the AMI protocol?” The PRO team are : Johann Paolo Augusto D. Almazar, MD of UP-PGH, Ana Jenica S. Lucio, MD of Manila Doctors Hospital, and Gener A. Idor, MD from University of Perpetual Help Dalta Medical Center. The opposition team will be defended by Rei Paolo L. Diaz, MD of Veterans Memorial Medical Center , Marie Charisma L. dela Trinidad, MD of Lung Center of the Philippines, and James Albert A. Flores, MD of Philippine Heart Center.
