Yes, Governor Yevgeny Vincente Emano is planning to accommodate displaced Divisoria Night Cafe vendors at the Capitol Grounds. However, this will not happen anytime soon as they are still in the process of conducting a study on how to make things possible.
There are lots of factors to consider. First, the Capitol Grounds is near to hospitals like Northern Mindanao Medical Center and Sabal Hospital. With this, Capitol Night Cafe can not have loud music that could disturb the patients. Second, Emano stressed that Capitol Night Cafe would not allow alcoholic beverages. And third, the Vicente de Lara Park has one toilet only as of the present. So, that means that sanitation wise, the capitol is not yet prepared to accommodate night cafe. These are just few of the factors that they have seen.
According to one of the spokesperson of the Capitol, it could take five to six months to materialize the plan of having a night cafe or the “Tiangge” at the Capitol Grounds.
