New COA report reveals questionable government spending of Moreno, Emano

The Commission on Audit has released a new report that reveals questionable handling of millions of pesos at the city hall and provincial capitol of Misamis Oriental. COA questioned the misuse of funds intended for the victims of Typhoon Sendong during the administration of former City Mayor Vicente Emano. On the other hand, the Province of Misamis Oriental under former Governor Oscar Moreno has unliquidated cash advances with a total amount of P106 million as of December 2012. Patrick Gabutina, the provincial administrator under Moreno’s term drew cash advances of P6.7 million in 2012 alone.
