Lumbia Airport to accomodate US Forces? Boon or Bane?

With the government’s effort of building stronger defense capabilities against the oppressive China, the United States and all allies would be given access to build their air and naval facilities in the Philippines. And Cagayan de Oro’s Lumbia Airport which will be the home of the 15th Air Strike Wing of Philippine Air Force is being eyed to accommodate US forces. This information came straight from Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin. However, there are certain lawmakers that question the validity of the government’s plan since the Constitution does not have any provision that allows the establishment of new military facilities or bases for use by the country’s allies. As Kagayanon, do you think this would bring more advantages or disadvantages?
