Food and Fashion: The CIC Intensive 4 Toque Ceremony and Grand Buffet

The Culinary Institute of Cagayan de Oro has produced another group of culinary apprentices after they had their Batch Intensive 4 grand buffet and toque ceremony last April 20 at Dynasty Court Hotel. This huge event had 200 guests and that is not so easy job for the CIC students. But they were able to pull the show to the highest level.

Who would have thought that this momentous occasion would have a different twist? Well, they served a different kind of appetizer… a fashion show! Excellent! After all, the best partner of food is entertainment.

There were songs and dance numbers too! What an added bonus.

Then the most exciting part… well, I am sure everybody was really waiting for this. Tell, I’m a liar. Am I a liar?

Oh Lord, foods are the world’s greatest temptations. And I do not mind being tempted by this array of foods served by CIC students. The aroma and the presentation are so enticing.

There was a long queue of hungry people who were ready to munch the delicious foods. Knowing that they’re prepared by CIC students, I know they are worth the potential guilt.

They were exceptional and heavenly. There was that feeling of wanting to go back and have another round but my cerebrum was telling me to stop.

The event was spearheaded by CIC’s program director Chef Malou Caudal. Congratulations Intensive 4 students of Culinary Institute of Cagayan de Oro.
