ATO cancels night flights at Lumbia Airport

A lightning hit a device yesterday that damaged the runway threshold lights of Lumbia Airport. With the absence of a lighting system, the Air Transportation Office came up with a decision to cancel night flights going to and from Cagayan de Oro. Flights are limited until 5:15 PM only while the problem is not yet fixed. Unfortunately, according to CAAP, the device is not available in Cagayan de Oro and has to be purchased somewhere else.
