Four injured as Oro celebrates New Year

From ten in the evening yesterday up to four in the morning today (January 1, 2013), there have been four injuries recorded in Cagayan de Oro, three of which are related to firecrackers. One of the victims brought to Northern Mindanao Medical Center Emergency Room was a kid from Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental. He acquired the injury from the firecrackers lit by his father. On the other hand, a teenager got second degree burn in his thighs and abdomen after his improvised explosive material made of PVC accidentally exploded while he was carrying it. And lastly, one injury is due to vehicular accident. Although Cagayan de Oro recorded a few number of injuries only but it could have been much better if there is zero casualty related to firecrackers in celebrating new year.
